Meet Steve & Kathy Swiss
We met in college back in 1979, have been married for almost 37 years, and been blessed by God with three wonderful adult children. Prior to relocating to the Wilmington area seven years ago, we resided in the Northeast, Southwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions. Steve has 40 years of engineering and management experience in the Precast Concrete industry both nationally, and internationally in China, Mexico, Romania, and Poland. Kathy is a Certified Nurse Assistant and has almost six years of experience in home care working with seniors, including caregiving. She has seen up close the importance of keeping seniors safe so that they can be as independent as possible. Prior to this, she had spent most of her career working with children as a teacher’s aide.
As our own parents began to get older and face major health issues, we learned firsthand that the aging process can be difficult to manage. Seniors are faced with challenges including declining health, losing loved ones, relocating, downsizing, as well as financial and legal matters. Children and family members may not live close by or just need support and answers to questions that they may have. We want to help seniors and their families navigate the aging process as smoothly and easily as possible. We know from our family’s own experiences that these times can be overwhelming, both physically and emotionally. Our hope and purpose is to ease the stress you might face during this life-changing transition. We work with a network of local businesses and coordinate each aspect of the aging and moving process.

Organize & Downsize
For many seniors, the most comfortable situation is for them to stay in their own home for as long as they possibly can. While this sounds like a great thing it can also cause many issues. There are, however, things that can be done to minimize the chances of falling, one of the main reasons that seniors are forced to leave their homes. We offer services to help make the home safer and easier to navigate.
Relocate
One of the issues that many families face is downsizing and relocating an aging parent or senior. Often, they have lived in the home for many years and feel an attachment to their belongings. To make this important transition as stress free and easy as possible takes some effort and preplanning on everyone's part. The more that can be done to downsize and organize prior to relocating makes the process go much smoother.
